General Rattan Care

To get the most out of your new rattan piece and minimise maintenance, it is important to protect it from prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, excessive humidity, and harsh weather conditions whether Indoors our out as this may cause fading, drying, or mould growth over time.

Outdoors, rattan should be kept in a covered area and protected from rain and intense sun. It is best not to leave rattan furniture outdoors for extended periods

To keep your rattan looking its best, dust or wipe it regularly with a soft, slightly damp cloth and allow it to dry fully. Ensure there is good airflow around the piece and avoid leaving it wet for prolonged periods.

General Teak Care

Teak is a naturally durable and resilient hardwood, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

Clean it regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and surface dirt. Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasive pads, or excessive water, as these may damage the wood’s natural finish.

For deeper cleaning, use a slightly damp cloth and wipe dry immediately. If desired, a light application of furniture polish can help maintain surface sheen for indoor pieces.

For outdoor teak, applying teak oil every six months can help preserve its warm tone and provide additional protection. Always apply oil evenly with a soft cloth and remove any excess.
